It happens. Really great bloggers fail to publish some of the time, so you’re gonna have to cut me some slack. So much great stuff going on that I haven’t had time to write a decent post in a while. And I still don’t, so instead I’m just going to do a quick rundown of what’s new with me:
New Website! (No, not this one.)
Finally relaunched the website for my Internet marketing consulting business. Still tweaking, but really excited to have not just a nice new look and feel (thanks for the help Thomas Griffin Media), but also to have personalized the content and made it more accurately reflect what I want to do.
I wrote before about how important it can be for solopreneurs like myself to leverage the advantage of being ‘the’ person that clients deal with, and now my website finally incorporates my own advice.
Radio Interview
This Thursday (June 16), I’m doing a live interview with Ginger Rockey-Johnson on Social Media Today in Tampa. We’re going to be talking about how small biz owners need to re-think (or start building) their social media plan now. Should be a lot of fun!
Continuing Education
I’m going to be presenting a one-hour workshop on personal branding during the summer break at Full Sail. It’s a subject I really enjoy, so I’m looking forward to it.
Featured Column
I’m committing to a regular column on a new blog focused on providing useful Internet marketing advice for small businesses. My articles will focus primarily on search and SEO, including local search. First post to be submitted by Monday, so stay tuned!
Personal
I’ve been doing better about eating healthy and working out, and have lost about 20 pounds. I’m feeling good about that but seem to have hit a plateau, so I’m joining a boot camp to see if I can kick-start things. I’m also going to commit to going to yoga again.
By the way, I know you don’t really care about that last bit, but I’m hoping that by stating it publicly I’ll actually force myself to do it.
